"You either play the game, or you're a pawn in someone else's game." ~Jeet Grewal (My Dad)
Ever since I was a little girl, this is the saying that my dad would drill into my brain. Anytime we were on a long car ride or just sitting in the living room, my dad would figure out a way to bring it up. As I got older I really started to understand the meaning of this quote. There are people in your life that wish the best for you and then there are others who don't. Some people will try and take credit for your success and go behind your back in any way they can. If you don't take control of your own life and choose the path you go down, then it's going to be really easy to go down a path where you're just following someone else. |
